A fixture in the San Lorenzo Valley community, Jayson Madani became a licensed REALTOR® in 2003. As a part of The Madani Real Estate Team, I specialize in residential and multi-residential real estate and commercial properties throughout Santa Cruz County.
I joined American Dream Realty because their three office locations in Scotts Valley, Santa Cruz and Felton allow me to increase my real estate reach, networking with other top producing agents who have collectively been selling real estate for years.  As a local company with 25+ years’ experience, ADR keeps abreast of the changing market and provides their REALTORS with the most current information to help us stay current.
 
While attending Baymonte  Middle School, I participated in a job fair. A real estate agent at the fair explained to my class that she believed that "Everyone should own a home."  I also knew in my heart that this was true and I have wanted to be a REALTOR ever since. As a REALTOR, I help people become homeowners buy into a community and take a stake in that community’s future, improving neighborhoods, schools and opportunities for those around them.
As part of the third generation to call Santa Cruz County home, my entire family is invested in the strength of the San Lorenzo Valley community. My father has been investing in commercial and residential real estate for over 30 years and I began helping him when I was only seven years old. My parents have owned and operated Masood’s Liquor and Deli in Ben Lomond since 1989. My sister proudly owns The Hair Remedy beauty salon in Ben Lomond. And together, the family opened 9 Burger in Boulder Creek in April 2011 and which is managed by my youngest brother.
When not meeting with real estate clients, inspectors and appraisers, I value spending time with my wife and young daughter above all else. We enjoy the beach, nature, biking in and around San Lorenzo Valley and living the Santa Cruz lifestyle.

Maaret Forst and I began our professional association in 2005 and together we make a great real estate team.  As The Madani Real Estate Team, we are able to give our clients a full service experience. I work from 8am -8pm 7 days a week and keep a smart phone close by at all times, while Maaret handles our advertising, Internet marketing and escrow coordination. This system allows us to be at all of our inspections, including appraisals: one of the secrets to our success. We understand that the early bird gets the worm and are ready to show property with the shortest of notice.
 
TRANSACTION CONTROL
Using marketing techniques that have successfully closed more than 200 transactions over last 8 years, The Madani Real Estate Team makes sure that everyone knows that your home is for sale. Experienced in lending situations that are specifically tied to property condition, we are able to give cost effective advice to a seller to avoid problems in the transaction. We keep the most difficult transactions in contract and through to close by attending the buyer’s inspections, the appraisal, etc. We have a proven short sale track record and have worked with just about every possible bank. The Madani Real Estate Team is all about transaction control. From unique mountain home to dome home, A-frame to Asian-style home, ranch house to tree house, we understand how to market and sell your property.
 
HELPING  BUYERS AND SELLERS
We enjoy helping buyers and strive to always do the right thing for our clients—no sale is too big or too small to do anything but the right thing. The Madani Real Estate Team has the expertise to explain how bank contracts work, whether a conventional or short sale purchase agreement. Our time in the real estate business means that our clients get the right local Santa Cruz referrals for property inspection, appraisal, termite, geological, well, land use consultants or contractors, all of whom can bid out repairs within hours. Depending where the property is located, we take our buyers to the county or city to help them research records.  After developing the 9 Burger property, I am familiar with this process—it took 44 permits! We work with low and no money down loan programs including USDA, FHA, 203k and Full, plus VA, HomePath, 5, 10 and 15 % down programs, matching properties and buyer to the right loan. Maaret and I are also experienced in working with 1031 exchanges as well as 1031 reverse and 1033 exchanges.
